Visit Jacksonville, the City’s Destination Marketing Organization, has launched the new “Visit JAX!” mobile app for iPhone and android users. The free app is packed with unique features to make any trip to Jacksonville easier including listings on places to stay, events, what to see and do, where to eat & drink and local tours.

The app was produced by Visit Widget under the guidance of Visit Jacksonville and the Jacksonville Tourist Development Council. Some of its most innovative features include “Plan Your Trip” which allows users to add any of the events, things to do, restaurants, etc. to their “My Plan” section which will then map out the best route to experience their selections. This feature can also be accessed at visitjacksonvile.com and linked to the app giving users access on the go. Another unique feature is the “Self-Guided Tours” section with new tours on public art, historic buildings, and historic homes. Some of these include audio tours.
