July 1st, 2019 · Leave a Comment

The City of Jacksonville and Keep Jacksonville Beautiful are partnering with the Beaches Sea Turtle Patrol for the annual July 5th Beaches Cleanup following the Independence Day holiday.

The cleanups are scheduled from 8 to 10 a.m. on Friday, July 5. Litter collection bags and gloves will be distributed oceanside at Atlantic Boulevard and Beach Boulevard.

Participants must be at least 18 or accompanied by an adult, should wear sturdy footwear and sun protection, and should bring their own drinking water. Volunteers will remove litter and debris along the shoreline, enhancing the beauty and safety of Jacksonville’s beaches.

Advance registration is not required for the event. The cleanups will only be cancelled in the event of inclement weather.
