The City of Jacksonville and Keep Jacksonville Beautiful will partner with the Beaches Sea Turtle Patrol for the annual July 5th Beaches Cleanup following the Independence Day holiday. The event will take place from 7 to 9 a.m. on July 5.

Volunteers will remove litter and debris along the shoreline, enhancing the beauty and safety of Jacksonville’s beaches. Litter collection bags and gloves will be distributed to volunteers at the following locations:

  •     Atlantic Boulevard at the ocean
  •     Beach Boulevard at the ocean
  •     16th Avenue South at the ocean

Participants must be age 18 or accompanied by an adult, should wear sturdy footwear and sun protection, and should bring their own drinking water. The cleanup will be cancelled in the event of inclement weather.

For more information, call Keep Jacksonville Beautiful at (904) 255-8276 or call the Beaches Sea Turtle Patrol at (904) 613-6081.
