Vote “No on 4” supporters plan to share their message at Florida/Georgia Game!

October 27th, 2010 · Leave a Comment

With only a week until Amendment 4 goes to vote, Northeast Florida “No on 4” supporters are mapping out a game plan for this weekend’s “No on 4” efforts.  Supporters have been working to educate co-workers, family and friends on the importance of defeating Amendment 4 and encourage everyone to turn out at the polls and vote “No on 4.”

Jacksonville Regional Chamber of Commerce members and many other business and civic organizations vigorously support the “No on 4” initiative and have traveled around Jacksonville spreading the word.  If passed, Amendment 4 would require a public vote before local governments could adopt or amend any comprehensive land-use plan. “No on 4” supporters say Amendment 4 would severely inhibit the ability to recruit businesses to Northeast Florida and it would lead to heavy job loss and higher costs for Floridians.

To help spread the word, many supporters are planning to gather this weekend and wave “Vote No on 4” signs as people travel downtown for Florida/Georgia festivities. They are also going to be handing out specially designed orange & blue and red & black “Vote No on 4” stickers at the game.

We expect to see a lot of team spirit and numerous “Vote No on 4” supporters at the Florida/Georgia festivities. If you want to join the effort and help spread the word, more information is available here.
