The Sunshine State’s housing market is sizzling hot.

In a recent Lending Tree survey, Florida ranked as the top destination for out-of-state movers. Along with Florida’s wonderful weather, many are attracted to the state’s tax savings and business opportunities.

Florida is among the Top 10 states for relocating businesses, according to Site Selection magazine, and the Tax Foundation rates Florida as having the fourth best tax climate in the U.S.

In Northeast Florida, Jacksonville was recently included in Zillow’s Top 10 Hottest U.S. Housing Markets list for 2019. Forbes rated Jacksonville as the fourth best city for job seekers in 2019 while Inc. calls Jacksonville the No. 14 best city to start a business. Plus, Money recently said Jacksonville is the No. 9 best big city to live in right now, and SmartAsset rated Jacksonville as the No. 8 city where quality of life is on the rise.

Florida had the highest level of net domestic migration from July 2017 to July 2018, according to the U.S. Census data released in December. Florida’s unemployment rate remains historically low. In February, it was 3.5 percent, lower than the national unemployment rate.
