Finesse Mitchell at the Comedy Zone

They say laughter is the best medicine. So if you’re sick, or you like medicine – or laughter – check out comedian Finesse Mitchell on Saturday, April 26 at 8 p.m. at the Comedy Zone in Jacksonville.

Mitchell was a featured performer on the SHAQ All-Star one-hour comedy special taped in Atlanta, which recently aired on SHOWTIME, and frequently appears on Bethenny or The Arsenio Hall Show.

Tickets are $15-$18, and available on the Comedy Zone website.

The Bacon Nation Festival, St. Augustine

Bacon, glorious bacon. Celebrate its salty-ness and savory-ness in a variety of foods at The Bacon Nation Festival at Francis Field in St. Augustine on Saturday, April 26, beginning at noon.

There will be many dishes to taste, music, and a large play area for children, including bounce houses, obstacle courses, face-painting and much more.

Admission is $4 for people 14 years old and up. Kids 13 and under get in free.

Jacksonville Symphony Orchestra, "The Firebird"

So here are your choices: Fill your face, laugh your face off, or face the music – literally – at the Jacksonville Symphony Orchestra’s performance on Saturday, April 26 of Stravinsky’s “The Firebird.”

The performance begins at 8 p.m. at The Times-Union Center, and features conductor Shizuo Kuwahara and a ballet. Buy good seats, and you’ll be right in front of the action.
