New businesses and good news keep coming to Jacksonville! The Naples, Fla.-based planning, design and engineering firm of WilsonMiller recently announced that it has opened a new office in Northeast Florida.

The office is the firm’s 11th in Florida with additional regional offices in Sarasota, Fort Myers, Gainesville, Palmetto, Port Charlotte, Tampa, Deland, Tallahassee and Panama City Beach. The Jacksonville office will serve the firm’s public and private clients throughout Northeast Florida, the southeast United States, the Caribbean, Latin America and the Middle East.

WilsonMiller has hired David Tillis to manage the new Jacksonville office. Prior to joining WilsonMiller, Tillis worked for the Bonita Bay Group and The St. Joe Company specializing in real estate and land use entitlement. Tillis brings more than three decades of experience in master planning, strategic planning, permitting and large-scale development to WilsonMiller. Here’s what David had to say about the company’s new Jacksonville location:

“WilsonMiller is a Florida success story and we believe the next chapter of our growth is here in Jacksonville. We are big supporters and believers in the Jacksonville economy and are excited to open an office here and serve clients in this region.”

The Jacksonville office will focus on serving clients in market sectors of transportation, urban land, natural resources and rural land, and government. In addition to serving regional and international clients, the office will focus geographically in the area of Northeast Florida from Daytona to Ocala and Gainesville to the state line.
