A new round of the Jax Litter League, a citywide team cleanup competition calling on Jacksonville residents to roll up their sleeves and take pride in their community, is underway. The initiative, which runs from through July 3, 2026, offers teams of up to 20 participants the chance to make a real impact on Jacksonville’s streets, parks, and waterways, reduce litter and blight, and compete for an unforgettable grand prize with the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp.
The winning team will earn the opportunity to throw out the ceremonial first pitch at a Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp game and enjoy the action from a private suite on July 7, 2026.
Keep Jacksonville Beautiful will supply all necessary cleanup equipment, including trash bags and gloves, so participants need only bring their energy and enthusiasm. Teams are encouraged to document their efforts with “before and after” photos of their cleanup area and track the number of bags collected.
The Jax Litter League competition runs through July 3, 2026. For more information and to register your team, visit www.jacksonville.gov/jaxlitterleague.
