Volunteers are needed for a beach cleanup in Jacksonville Beach on Saturday, Aug. 24, from 7 to 9 a.m.

Keep Jacksonville Beautiful is partnering with sustainable product manufacturer phade as part of the company’s “Beach Cleanup Tour,” a Florida-centric effort that aims to enlist residents and businesses in ridding local shores of billions of pieces of trash.

The event kicks off at 6:30 a.m. next to the Jacksonville Beach Pier with volunteer sign-in, cleanup supplies and a brief welcome from a KJB Commissioner and a phade representative. Volunteers will return to the starting point at 8:45 a.m. for a gift card drawing.

Sustainable phade  products are manufactured in Jacksonville at a facility located at 5515 W. Fifth St.
