Matt Kuchar, seven-time PGA TOUR event winner and recipient of the bronze medal at the Rio 2016 Olympics, recently contributed $40,000 to Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) of Jacksonville, an organization that serves as a “home away from home” to families while their children receive needed medical care. Kuchar’s donation was directed to support RMHC of Jacksonville’s expansion campaign.

“We are honored Matt generously donated his President’s Cup earnings to support our mission,” said Diane Boyle, Executive Director, RMHC of Jacksonville. “Matt and Sybi Kuchar have been faithful supporters since 2010 and their commitment over the years has made a major difference for the families served by RMHC of Jacksonville.”

The contribution is a portion of the charitable proceeds generated from The Presidents Cup 2015, in which Kuchar participated as a playing member of the victorious U.S. Team. The Presidents Cup is a unique golf event in that there is no purse or prize money. Players are not paid for their participation. Instead, each competitor allocates their portion of the proceeds generated to charitable causes.

More information about RMHC is available at www.rmhcjacksonville.org.
