NEFBA Parade of Homes Criteria and Judging Categories

The Northeast Florida Builders Association (NEFBA) is in full swing for the 2011 Parade of Homes. The annual event, which recognizes the best in new home construction in the Northeast Florida building community, will take place from Saturday, April 9, through Sunday, April 17. Entries will be judged on April 1.

Judges for the event include experts in the fields of construction, interior design and architecture. Homes submitted for the 2011 Parade of Homes will be judged based on a one to five point scale and the following list of features will be considered:

  • Overall exterior design
  • Overall architectural design
  • Interior design with a focus on the master bedroom, master bath, secondary bedroom, secondary bath and kitchen
  • Overall construction quality
  • Overall value
  • Overall impression

The Parade of Homes is the premiere event for the Northeast Florida builder community and provides an opportunity for the local homebuilding industry to display the latest in new home construction and for residents of Northeast Florida to tour award-winning homes. This year there were a total of 70 entries, up from 60 entries in 2010.
