The Northeast Florida Builders Association (NEFBA) announces Robert Corey Deal as the association’s new Executive Director. Deal officially begins his new role later this month.

“Corey is uniquely qualified to advance the interests of the association and our industry,” said NEFBA President Dennis Ginder, president of Landon Homes. “He has vast experience working in the governmental affairs sector and is very effective at working with individuals and groups to achieve a common goal. We are delighted to welcome him back to our organization.”

Deal currently serves in the Office of General Counsel for the Georgia Department of Community Health in Atlanta. Prior to joining the Georgia Department of Community Health, Deal served as the NEFBA Director of Government Affairs from February 2006 to August 2009, during which time he was the recipient of the NEFBA Good Government Award.

His community service includes participating on the Jacksonville Small and Emerging Business Committee and the Northeast Florida Regional Planning Council Workforce Housing Task Force. Deal earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration and a law degree from the University of Georgia and has a MBA degree from Samford University.

“I cannot express how much I am looking forward to serving NEFBA as its new executive director,” Deal said. “This is an exciting time for the building industry, and I am committed to be an energetic leader for our association and its membership.”

Former NEFBA Executive Director Daniel Davis is now serving as JAX Chamber President and CEO.
