The real estate professionals at Prudential Network Realty collected a record 458 backpacks filled with school supplies for children in Northeast Florida during the 14th annual Backpack Challenge.
The backpacks and supplies collected during the campaign were donated to Community Connections of Jacksonville, Habitat for Humanity of St. Augustine/St. Johns County and Doctors Inlet Elementary School in Clay County.
“Every child wants to have his or her own backpack and the supplies needed for school – it is a wonderful gift and an excellent way to kick-off a successful school year,” said Prudential Network Realty Founder, President and CEO Linda H. Sherrer.

During the campaign, backpacks and school supplies were collected at Prudential Network Realty’s offices throughout Northeast Florida. The backpacks were purchased for students in kindergarten through grade 12 and filled with school supplies such as paper, pencils, pens, highlighters, erasers and spiral notebooks.
“For many children, having a new backpack and school supplies gives them a sense of pride,” said Christy Budnick, executive vice president of residential real estate, Prudential Network Realty. “We truly appreciate the support and donations we received from our team and the community during the Backpack Challenge.”
