As the chill of autumn arrives, thoughts naturally turn to dipping battered foods into hot oil – and then perhaps walking or running off those calories.
Fortunately, the Greater Jacksonville Agricultural Fair began on Nov. 6 and runs through Nov. 17, featuring a plethora of deep-fried goodies, as well as traditional agricultural displays, thrilling rides, carnival games and performances by some well-known entertainers. The week of events also includes the Veterans Day Parade, author Michael Lewis at Florida Forum, and McKenzie's Run 5K.
