Wednesday marked the official opening of the Patriots’ Outpost on Military Appreciation Day during THE PLAYERS. The event began with a special presentation of a TPC Boston membership to wounded warrior Michael McCombs. As part of the PGA TOUR’s six-year relationship with Wounded Warrior Project, each TPC in the network extends a complimentary membership to a local wounded warrior to use golf and the club camaraderie as a rehabilitation tool.

THE PLAYERS week has been filled with activities that highlight the “good side of sports,” most notably, a commitment to honoring the men and women who serve in the U.S. Military. This tradition continues through THE PLAYERS Championship annual Military Appreciation Day, where this year country music sensation, avid golfer and philanthropist Darius Rucker helped the tournament honor area military with a special musical appearance.
