The Monique Burr Foundation for Children needs your vote in the Give to the Givers Nonprofit Contest!! The BUZZ Magazine has partnered First Coast News, NBC 12 and ABC 25 to present $50,000 in cash and media prizes to the Jacksonville-area nonprofits that receive the most votes on the contest’s website, www.ivotetogive.com. The top five charities will each receive a media package valued at $10,000 to use for promotion and advertising of the non-profit and its campaigns and events.

Voting is quick and easy, but you only have until Feb. 10 to cast your vote for the Monique Burr Foundation, a nonprofit organization created in 1997 with a mission to give hope in the life of a child by providing child abuse prevention education throughout the state of Florida.  In 2010, the foundation reached nearly 20,000 children in Northeast Florida and the Tampa Bay area with Speak Up Be Safe^TM, a child abuse prevention education program that addresses safety from all forms of child abuse, bullying and internet dangers, as well as including tools for parents and school personnel.
