
W.W. Gay, a Jacksonville-based premier mechanical contracting company, has named Madelen Salter as the company’s Senior Vice President of External Affairs. Salter will lead the company in building, developing and managing relationships with key stakeholders, including government entities, community leaders, industry partners, media and advocacy groups. Salter brings a wealth of experience to the position, with a background in business development, sales and marketing, change management and workplace planning.

Salter has been deeply engaged in the Northeast Florida community for decades. She was recently appointed by Florida Governor Ron DeSantis to serve on the Board of Directors of the Jacksonville Transportation Authority. She also sits on the JAX Chamber Board of Directors, the JAXUSA Partnership Policy Council and is the 2025-2026 JAXUSA Partnership Business Development Committee Chair. She serves on the Leadership Jacksonville Board of Directors, the Build Up Downtown Board of Directors, the San Marco Preservation Society Board of Directors and the Seacoast Bank Advisory Board. She was previously an American Heart Association Leader for Life, a member of the Solomon Coyle Advisory Council, a member of the Board of Directors for The Charis House, an alumna of Elevate Women Northeast Florida, a graduate of the ULI Center for Leadership and a Professional Business Woman of the Year by the JAX Chamber’s Jacksonville Women’s Business Center.
