During the holidays there are no shortage of events to get you in the spirit. The Jacksonville Landing is hosting a series of events throughout the month. Here’s an overview of what’s to come:
Ongoing Events
- Saturday, Nov. 27 – Friday, Dec. 31 – Synchronized Nightly Tree Light Shows will take place every hour, on the hour. The Landing’s 56-foot-tree comes alive to your favorite holiday music each evening with a 10-minute synchronized light show featuring more than 78,000 L.E.D. lights. Each show is free and open to the public.
- Tuesday, Nov. 30 – Thursday, Dec. 23 – 2010 Holiday on the River Concert Series features daily and evening live performances in front of the tree by local schools, churches and dance groups. To see a detailed schedule of performances, click here.
Additional Events in December
- Friday, Dec. 3 and Friday, Dec. 10 – The Jacksonville Landing Market. Dozens of vendors set up throughout The Landing selling locally-grown produce, baked goods, plants, pottery, arts and crafts and more. Every Friday 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
- Sunday, Dec. 5 – Chabad Chanukah at The Landing at 3 p.m. Celebrate Chanukah with live music, food, games and the lighting of the 13-foot menorah. (Event located on Hogan Street near the gazebo)
- Saturday, Dec. 18 – Jingle Bell Run/Walk for Arthritis at 6 p.m. Join the Arthritis Foundation in the fight against the nation’s most common cause of disability in the United States. The run/walk will begin at the Hogan Street gazebo and continue along the Northbank River Walk. For registration information, visit www.arthritis.org/jingle-bell-run
- Thursday, Dec. 30 – Saturday, Jan. 1 – Gator Bowl/New Year’s Celebration. Visit www.JacksonvilleLanding.com for details.
