The JAX Chamber is encouraging businesses to “Celebrate at THE PLAYERS,” and provide opportunities for employees to attend the tournament. THE PLAYERS Championship will return to THE PLAYERS Stadium Course at TPC Sawgrass May 6-12, 2013.

Through the “Celebrate at THE PLAYERS” program, participating businesses will encourage their employees to take pride in this community event by granting a company-wide half-day off during tournament week, allowing employees to attend or volunteer at the tournament. Businesses may also offer discounted tickets to their employees with all of the proceeds benefitting local youth charities.

Several Chamber member businesses, including Driver, McAfee, Peek & Hawthorne, Bank of America, BB&T, BBVA Compass, LPS and Acosta, have joined the “Celebrate at THE PLAYERS” program. The tournament’s estimated annual economic impact to the region is in excess of $150 million. Business leaders agree that THE PLAYERS is a vital part of the community and the place to be for all business professionals.
