121 Financial (“One to One”), Jacksonville’s hometown credit union, has announced that Russell Buck has joined the credit union as Vice President of Retail Services.

Buck has more than 30 years of banking, finance and sales experience and most recently served as regional vice president for VyStar Credit Union.

In his role as vice president of retail services, Buck will oversee 121 Financial’s retail staff of 70+ employees and its growing physical footprint, which currently includes eight branches across Northeast Florida. Buck will also lead local business development initiatives, which includes modernizing 121 Financial’s services across its physical network, and work alongside 121 Financial’s digital team to ensure consistency and continuity across all member touchpoints.

Prior to his credit union experience, Buck served in regional and sales management positions at several Jacksonville-area banks, including Southtrust and First Union. He began his career in sales at Prudential Financial after graduating with his bachelor’s in marketing from the University of Maryland – Robert H. Smith School of Business.

Buck currently serves as a board member for the Clay Florida Economic Development Corporation and for Haven Hospice in Jacksonville. He previously served as a board member for the Clay County Development Authority from 2012-2019 and the Clay County Utility Authority from 2014-2019.
