Veterans, service members, government leaders, loved ones and other citizens will gather in memory of Jacksonville’s fallen heroes at the City’s annual Memorial Day observance on Monday, May 27.
The observance begins at 8:30 a.m. at the Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Wall, located at 1145 E. Adams St. in Jacksonville. The pre-ceremony will begin at 8 a.m., with music provided by the Navy Band Southeast and The Voices of Jacksonville. The keynote speaker will be VADM Mary Jackson, USN Retired. Free parking is available in Lots J and P. This event, which takes place at the Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Wall (to which no new names have been added this year), is open to the public to honor the brave men and women of the U.S. Armed Forces who lost their lives in service to our country.
