England-Thims & Miller, Inc. (ETM) is accepting applications for their paid internship program, which offers a unique opportunity for select interns to forward career goals in the architecture, engineering and construction (AEC) industry.

Collaborating with universities across Florida, ETM offers a premier internship experience to qualifying interns in the fields of civil engineering, planning, landscape architecture, water and utility resources, geospatial technologies, and surveying. Each intern is partnered with a seasoned mentor who provides expert guidance, engaged with the day-to-day operations of the firm and presented with the opportunity to apply their academic knowledge to projects. Setting this experience apart is the ability to work on the infrastructure and development that is shaping the landscape of our communities throughout the state, such as Nocatee, the Jacksonville Jaguar’s Stadium of the Future, St. Johns Town Center, the Shipyards, Baptist Medical Center, Buc-ee’s, Amazon Distribution Center, and others.

If a student excels while interning at ETM, they may be invited to join the ETM Accelerator Program. Founded in 2019, the Accelerator Program provides a unique opportunity for undergraduate and post-baccalaureate students to participate in enhanced experiential learning to accelerate professional development and AEC expertise.

To date, more than 70 students have completed the ETM Accelerator Program. Nearly 20 have advanced to full-time employment with ETM upon the conclusion of the program.

“We founded the ETM Accelerator program after seeing the power of mentorship in our workplace. Learning from experts working in the field provides students complimentery academic training with applied knowledge. This program offers interns the experience to provide clients ETM’s level of exellence as they embark on their careers.” said Hugh Mathews, CEO of ETM.

ETM currently has 13 students throughout Florida actively participating in the Accelerator Program, each with their own mentor providing opportunities for immersive learning and engaging professional development.

ETM is actively accepting applications for their internship program at their corporate offices located in Jacksonville, Orlando and Ormond Beach, as well as their dedicated Accelerator Office in Gainesville for University of Florida students.
