As reported by the Florida Times-Union, Amazon held the first of its job fairs this week to fill the hundreds of positions at its North Jacksonville fulfillment center.

The company anticipates hiring at least 1,500 people for the center currently under construction on Pecan Park Road.

Two more job fairs will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Wednesday, July 12, and Friday, July 14, at the Legends Center, located at 5130 Soutel Drive.

According to the JAX Chamber, about 500 of the jobs will pay $50,000 and above. The rest will pay in the $12 to $15 an hour range.
