Introducing the New Southern Hills

October 25th, 2023 · Leave a Comment

Looking for the good life? Head for the Hills to see what’s new at the country club community of Southern Hills.

Set among rolling hills and surrounded by nature, this amenity-rich community has one of the nation’s top-rated golf courses, endless opportunities for social and recreational activities, and impressive homes from top builders. Now all-new amenities offer even more good times. Sunnie’s poolside Tiki Bar and Café is open, offering frosty beverages, craft beer, cocktails and an appetizing selection of food and snacks to enjoy with family and friends.

“The all-new Tiki Bar and Café energizes Southern Hills’ pool with the carefree vibe of a tropical resort,” said GreenPointe Developers Marketing Director Gaynelle James. “Southern Hills is an exciting, one-of-a-kind community offering endless fun and something for everyone. Visit our community and new model homes, and you’ll discover more of everything you love about country club living at Southern Hills.”

Visitors to Southern Hills are invited to see two new decorated model homes – the Copperleaf by AR Homes by Arthur Rutenberg and the Sunburst by Lennar — showcasing the latest design trends. Southern Hills offers homes from the region’s top builders with floor plans designed for today’s active lifestyle. New homes start in the $400s with Lennar while a luxury custom home with Arthur Rutenberg starts in the $800s.

The inspiration of Arthur Rutenberg’s Copperleaf model is a home that embodies a low country elegant lifestyle. A tasteful, welcoming exterior gives way to a surprisingly spacious and luxuriously appointed interior. The 3,458-square-foot floorplan has an open living concept design that is great for entertaining.

“The overall interior of the home is a combination of classic traditional design with clean line modern elements, creating a more transitional style home,” said Kim LaQuire, Senior Model Home Designer, AR Homes by Arthur Rutenberg. “The vaulted ceiling detail with painted beams spans across the kitchen and great room, joining the two spaces together and giving lots of volume.”

The 90-degree sliding glass doors open up from the great room to the lanai, allowing the outdoors to become part of the living area. AR Homes is known for split bedrooms, however each bedroom in this unique plan is large enough for a king size bed and designed with an en suite bathroom and walk-in closets. The elegant owner’s suite bathroom has a large walk-in shower with free-standing tub and marble porcelain tile floors and shower walls. The dreamy spa-like vanity area is designed with cabinets and glossy accent tile on the walls.

Lennar’s Sunburst model is a two-bedroom, two-bathroom, single-story home featuring a spacious open floor plan. The entryway flows seamlessly into the kitchen, great room and expansive dining area, anchored by an oversized island. Not included in the bedroom count is a versatile flex room that can cater to a variety of hobbies and interests. Sliding glass doors seamlessly extend the home onto a generously sized covered patio. The owner’s suite features a spacious en suite bathroom with elegant quartz countertops and a walk-in closet with direct access to a conveniently located laundry room.

“Our Sunburst home design offers homebuyers a relaxed and inviting way to experience Lennar’s quality homes and signature Everything’s Included® way of homebuilding,” said Lennar Tampa Division President Steve Smith. “In addition, we are pleased to announce two larger floor plans, the Nova and the Solstice, to our lineup. These homes will expand the opportunity to live in Lennar at Southern Hills to larger families or those looking for more space.”

“The Sunburst model home embodies a sense of refined elegance using a palette of neutral hues accentuated by the warmth of pine,” said Lennar Tampa Designer Sheila Tomlinson. “Clean lines meet a fusion of materials — leather, metal, and bold textures — infusing intrigue into each space.”

Moving to Southern Hills doesn’t just mean you’re purchasing a new home. Membership in the family-friendly country club is a part of what it means to be a resident, so you’re sense of community begins the day you move in. The community is home to one of Florida’s top-rated Pete Dye signature golf courses, and Southern Hills residents enjoy a resort-style clubhouse featuring both fine and casual dining in addition to the new Tiki Bar and Café. Amenities also include an Aquatic Center with a lagoon-edge pool, lap area and heated spa, an Athletic Center with full gym, water aerobics and strength training classes, pickleball and tennis courts, and more. Southern Hills has winding interconnected sidewalks that are perfect for biking, walking and jogging. The High Tails Dog Park for the community’s furry residents and their owners is coming soon.
