As recently published in Florida Trend, the Jacksonville International Airport will soon begin an upgrade of six new computed tomography X-ray machines, worth $19 million. The new machines will be capable of screening bags that have been dropped off at the ticket counter.
The transition of the equipment will take between 12 – 14 months and will begin in September.
