Printella Bankhead, President and Founder of EBS Security, Inc. has been named 2022 overall Small Business Leader of the Year. After working as a security officer at the church she belonged to for seven years, Bankhead launched her own security company in 2002.
EBS Security Inc. operates with the mission to ensure the utmost safety and security of clients’ organizations and personnel. Since 2002, EBS has earned its exeptional reputation for providing superior armed and unarmed security services and cost-effective support solutions to various organizations throughout the nation’s commercial, residential and government sectors.
Despite taking the action to launch her own security company, Bankhead faced the challenges of learning entrepreneurship as EBS grew. Bankhead credits navigating the challenges of EBS Security’s growth to her involvement with the JAX Chamber.
Bankhead was selected for the ATHENA Powerlink Program in 2018, a program of the Jacksonville Women’s Business Center (JWBC). She attributes much of her success to JWBC and has won several awards including the Better Business Bureau 2017 Torch Award for Business Ethics, the Better Business Bureau Honorary Mention 2016, SBA’s Minority Business Person of the Year 2015 and the Best of Jacksonville Security Award 2014-2015.
EBS Security continues to thrive despite the challenges of recent years under Bankhead’s strong leadership. Last year EBS Security revenue reached $3 million and our staff grew to 120 officers. They continue to grow with the goal to provide support for staff and to exceed clients’ expectations.
