If you are a music lover, this post will be music to your ears! No matter whether you enjoy rock or jazz, there are some great free live music events planned in Jacksonville this weekend for your listening pleasure!

The Landing is always a hub for live entertainment and the free summer concert music series Friday Night Live! continues tonight. One of North Florida’s most popular bands, the 5 x 7 Band will perform in the courtyard from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m. on the riverfront stage.

On Saturday, The Landing will also welcome the George Aspinall Band from 2 to 6 p.m. and Spanky the Band from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m. On Sunday Hipp Street will perform from 4 to 8 p.m.

Jazz lovers will want to head to Jacksonville Beach on Sunday. Two top smooth jazz artists, Rick Braun and Richard Elliot, will perform together as R n R and headline the final concert of this season’s Jacksonville Beach Summer Jazz Series on Sunday at the SeaWalk Pavilion in Jacksonville Beach. The outdoor concert is free and open to the public. Audience members are encouraged to bring blankets and lawn chairs to sit on.

The concert will open at 5 p.m. with a performance by the Jacksonville Mass Choir followed by smooth jazz guitarist Matt Marshak at 6 p.m. Braun and Elliot will take the stage at 7:30 p.m.
