The Monique Burr Foundation for Children (MBF) proudly announces the appointment of Garrison Burr, the son of Ed Burr and the late Monique Burr, to its Board of Directors. Garrison Burr will join his father, MBF Founder and Board Chairman, and his brother, Austin Burr, to serve on the MBF Board that is a legacy of love to his mother’s memory.
MBF provides life-changing Prevention Education Programs geared towards children and teens. The comprehensive curriculum, which is evidence-informed and based on polyvictimization research, provides children from Pre-K to high school with invaluable information and resources intended to keep children safe. MBF is a nonprofit organization with a mission and purpose to protect children and teens from bullying, digital dangers, various forms of abuse, exploitation and human trafficking. To date, the organization has served more than nine million children in six countries, 36 states and 67 Florida counties. MBF is celebrating its 25th Anniversary in 2022. Despite this incredible milestone, MBF recognizes there is still so much to do to protect children and is thankful to have Garrison Burr support the organization to reach new heights.
“Garrison is a rising young professional who embodies his mother’s passion for protecting children,” said Ed Burr. “I am so proud that both of my sons understand the importance of giving back and operating in service to others. Their commitment to their mother’s legacy will make MBF stronger, allowing us to reach more children with prevention education across the globe.”
