Palencia Realty LLC, the marketing and sales arm of Hines’ master-planned community of Palencia in St. Johns County,  will host the annual Palencia 2014 Street Festival on a new date, Sunday, May 4.

The festival was postponed in March because of a severe storm, and will continue with plans to feature a family-friendly array of activities, including live music, a fashion show, and crafts.

The event, which will be free and open to the public, remains set from noon to 6 p.m. for the Palencia Village Center within the Palencia community located on U.S. 1 North at the intersection of International Golf Parkway.

The main stage of the festival will be at 605 Palencia Club Drive in St. Augustine, with adjacent streets lined with vendor booths offering arts and crafts, jewelry and food. Entertainment scheduled for the event include live music by Ouija Brothers and others; XStream DJ – Doug Foss; local dancers; gymnasts; and a fashion show.

For the kids, there will be bouncy houses, hamster balls, and plenty to see around Palencia’s bustling Village Center, the retail and activity hub of the community, just 20 minutes south of Jacksonville and five minutes north of historic St. Augustine.

Proceeds from vendors’ fees will benefit Daniel Kids, a nonprofit organization that serves nearly 2,000 children and their families every day through a variety of innovative and nationally-recognized programs. Daniel offers an array of quality, efficient and effective mental health, social services and educational programs aimed at enhancing the lives of children and families in the community.
