The PS27 Foundation Board of Directors has appointed Emmanuel Fortune as the organization’s new Executive Director.
This is a new role and comes at a time when the organization is rapidly expanding its entrepreneurial education programs that help empower startup founders and small business CEOs with leadership skills and experience. Fortune will use his years of experience to develop a long-term business strategy and powerful programming as it continues to grow and outreach to company founders that are women, veterans and people of color.
In addition, the PS27 Foundation has recently announced new funding and support from several major sponsors, including JP Morgan Chase, Black Knight, Cannae Holdings, VyStar, and Fidelity National Financial.
Emmanuel Fortune brings over 14 years of experience working with nonprofit organizations, including Teach for America, Flamboyan Foundation, and the Community Foundation for Northeast Florida. He specializes in organizational behavior and leadership, grantmaking, and deepening programmatic impact.
Since the foundation was formed in 2016, the goal has been to teach entrepreneurs how to build a “purpose-driven” company with a strong culture grounded in values. In recent years, all of the programs and events, including the Female Founders Forum and Leadership Week, have been sponsored by local companies and run by an all-volunteer board and staff.
