Realtors are invited to attend a free workshop on Monday, May 9, titled, “Lending to Buyers with Credit Scores Below 620.” The workshop will be from 9 a.m. to noon at the University of North Florida.

Sponsored by Freedom Mortgage, the session will cover topics of interest when qualifying buyers with less than perfect credit including:

• Availability of VA and FHA loans
• How credit scores of 500-549 can be acceptable for eligible borrowers
• Debt to Income (DTI) and down payment requirements
• Manual underwriting — A Freedom Mortgage underwriter will discuss this feature
