Inviting and stylish model homes are frequently commissioned by home builders to showcase floor plans and features while creating a pleasurable experience for potential home buyers. Once a product of high end luxury home builders, today’s show homes represent a wide range of builders and budgets.
Habitat for Humanity of Jacksonville (HabiJax) recently opened its first fully furnished model on Windle Street in New Town as part of a revitalization project in the historic neighborhood west of downtown. The model was decorated and furnished by award-winning interior designer Judith Sisler Johnston of Sisler Johnston Interior Design.
The three-bedroom, two-bath home features 1,100 square feet of flexible living space and an open flowing design that encourages family entertaining and interaction.
Sisler Johnston selected a color palette of warm neutrals with vibrant accents of crimson, emerald green and goldenrod, and the home’s design showcases lively transitional style.
The New Town project offers potential homebuyers interest-free mortgages on at least 100 new homes planned to be built this coming year. Visit HabiJax.org for more information.
