Sisler Johnston Interior Design Completes Redesign of Coleman Center at Fleet Landing

March 19th, 2013 · Leave a Comment

Sisler Johnston Interior Design recently completed the renovation of the administrative areas of the Coleman Center, a community amenity center at Fleet Landing in Atlantic Beach. The Jacksonville interior design firm, which specializes in designing senior lifestyle communities, has worked with Fleet Landing for many years on its design master plan and served as part of the professional design team when the Coleman Center was redesigned in 2011.

In the Coleman Center renovation, some existing elements were retained and new ones added. Sisler Johnston Interior Design selected a patterned commercial carpet to blend seamlessly with the center’s previous remodels. The color palette of persimmon, citrine and sage selected last year during the renovation of the Coleman Center lounge area, was carried into the new administrative areas. New bronze iron stair rails were added, which are accompanied by a walnut hand rail. The passenger elevator cabs were remodeled to showcase upscale finishes and lighting.

The new wheat-colored wallcoverings and wallcovering accents in bold persimmon are lively enhancements. The addition of ceiling coffers adds architectural interest while new wall sconces and pendants provide increased lighting and style. The new furnishings for the entry and reception area feature classic modern lines and rusty red fabrics while the office furnishings reflect clean modern styling in traditional light cherry tones.

“Fleet Landing is continually updating and enhancing its amenities and services so that residents, employees and guests enjoy world-class surroundings,” said Judith Sisler Johnston, president of Sisler Johnston Interior Design and allied member, ASID. “The renovation of the administrative areas of the Coleman Center was undertaken to provide additional office space to meet current needs and anticipate future growth.”
