Springfield Preservation and Revitalization Council (SPAR) has announced the return of the 42nd Historic Springfield Tour of Homes and Gardens, which will take place on May 15 and 16, 2021, from noon to 5 pm in Jacksonville’s oldest neighborhood.
During the two-day event, attendees will find nine properties to tour: three interior spaces decorated with a mix of modern and vintage styling and six beautiful backyard gardens. In addition, the tour check-in venue will be at the newly renovated SPAR Building located at 1321 North Main Street.
Early bird pricing will be $15 with $20 tickets purchased on the day of tour. A tour map and guide will be provided to all guests at 1321 North Main Street when guests check in at the SPAR Building. Many will walk or bike the tour route, but some may wish to drive. There will also be shuttles with pick-up and drop-off at designated spots during the tour.
The Historic Springfield Tour of Homes and Gardens is presented by Springfield Preservation & Revitalization Council (SPAR), the 501c3 grassroots organization dedicated to preserving the historic character, facilitating investment, and building community in the Springfield Historic District. The Tour of Homes and Gardens has showcased the unique character of the community for 42 years, and is a major fundraiser for programming and services provided by SPAR Council.
