The historic, nonprofit Florida Theatre will host its annual summer fundraiser party, Blues, Brews and BBQ, on Aug. 22, from 5:30 pm until 8:30 pm.

The annual event pairs some of Jacksonville’s favorite local craft beers with some of the city’s best locally- owned BBQ restaurants. New this year, ticket holders will enjoy a bourbon tasting sponsored by Southern Glazer’s Wine and Spirits. Throughout the evening, patrons can enjoy live continuous blues music by The Snacks Blues Band and Beale Street. Blues music is sponsored by Publix Supermarket Charities.

A limited number of VIP tickets are $100, and include early access at 4:30 pm where VIP ticket holders can sample unlimited BBQ and craft beer. General admission tickets are $50 and include BBQ and craft beer sampling starting at 5:30 pm. All ticket sales benefit the nonprofit Florida Theatre.

An online auction, valued at more than $16,000, includes a Green Egg donated by Turner Home Furnishings, theme park tickets, a bourbon basket and signed Florida Theatre memorabilia. Early bidding is underway through Bidding for Good.

BBQ samples will be located throughout the Theatre in both the main and mezzanine lobby areas.
