Free Jacksonville Symphony Orchestra Community Concerts Oct 1, 2 and 3

The Jacksonville Symphony season opens with three days of free community concerts. Join the celebration as Courtney Lewis begins his inaugural season as music director on Thursday, Oct. 1 at 8 p.m. at the St. Augustine Amphitheater, Friday, Oct. 2 at 8 p.m. at Unity Plaza at 220 Riverside Avenue and on Saturday, Oct. 3 at 8 p.m. at the Jacoby Symphony Hall at 300 Water Street (Times Union Center for the Performing Arts).

Each year, the City of Jacksonville chooses original artwork that is converted into the commemorative poster as well as other promotional pieces. This year’s poster is, Drop’n the Groove by local artist Pamela Miller. Here are some other events coming up this weekend:
