Visit Jacksonville is pleased to welcome Joey Bell to the team in the newly created position of Community Outreach Manager. He brings multiple years of experience in Florida’s tourism industry to the position.

In his role, Bell is responsible for managing outreach initiatives and growing relationships between Visit Jacksonville and the local community, including tourism partners, businesses, and local officials, to further the reputation of the organization and services offered.

Previously, Bell worked in Public Relations and Marketing at Visit Tampa Bay where he led various marketing, social media, and media relations initiatives. During his time there, Bell was involved in projects that received industry recognition through both the Flagler Award and HSMAI Adrian Award for Best Influencer Marketing campaign. Bell also worked directly with the Super Bowl LV host committee to co-manage the Super Bowl Social Media Command Center. Prior to his time at Visit Tampa Bay, Bell worked for the President and CEO at VISIT FLORIDA where he collaborated with the organization’s leadership team, its Board of Directors and various councils and committees.

Bell was recently selected to Destination International’s 30 under 30 class of 2023, a designation that provides future destination leaders the opportunity to gain valuable industry networking opportunities and increased thought leadership.

Bell received his Bachelor of Science in Applied Economics from Florida State University.
