WG Pitts, an award-winning General Contracting, Architecture, Construction and Development Management firm, has been selected to provide planning and design-build construction services for Treaty Oaks, a new single-family home community in St. Johns County. The Phase 1, $13.2 million project for the community’s developer will include infrastructure and design and construction of the Treaty Oaks entrance and Amenity Center.

“We are thrilled to be showcasing our single source design-build services for Treaty Oaks, one of the most inspiring new projects in northern St. Johns County,” said WG Pitts President Will Pitts. “The community will offer an outstanding location that’s convenient to Jacksonville and St. Augustine, access to award-winning, top-rated public schools and sensational recreational and social amenities.”

The amenity planning and design was led by WG Pitts Director of Design John Powers, formerly of Powers & Merritt.

Encompassing 67 acres, Treaty Oaks is a 418 unit single-family home community located a mile east of Interstate 95 on County Road 207 in St. Augustine. The community will feature highly regarded builders. Treaty Oaks’ first builder, Richmond American Homes, is building a new model home in the community.

Designed exclusively for community residents, the Treaty Oaks Amenity Center will cover 1.8 acres and include a junior Olympic-size swimming pool and a fully equipped 2,413-square-foot amenity building containing a fitness center and a community room with kitchen that’s perfect for social gatherings, birthday parties and other celebrations. The Treaty Oaks community will provide walking paths within the community that lead to nearby Treaty Park.

Treaty Oaks is located within the award-winning St. Johns County School District and within walking distance to Otis A. Mason Elementary School, a Grade “A” school. The community is near shopping, dining, entertainment, employment centers and recreational opportunities.

The Treaty Oaks community surrounds Treaty Park, a 47 acre complex maintained by the St. Johns County Parks and Recreation Department, which offers multiple recreational amenities including a fitness and aquatics center with community room, lighted softball fields, multi-purpose fields, lighted tennis courts, pickleball courts, racquetball courts, bocce ball courts and basketball courts. The park has biking and walking trails, playground, picnic facilities and a three-acre lake with canoe trail and fishing pier for catch and release fishing.
