The 31st Annual Wolfson Children’s Hospital Bass Tournament is not happening due to efforts to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), but there is still an opportunity to enter the tournament’s chance drawing to win a bass boat and help children with congenital heart disease at Wolfson Children’s Hospital of Jacksonville.
Everyone is invited to enter the drawing for a chance to win a fully rigged, 2020 Bullet bass boat with a Mercury XR engine, courtesy of Bullet Boats and Mercury Marine, valued at $57,000. The virtual chance drawing will take place on Facebook live on Saturday, May 16, 2020.
To enter the bass boat drawing, please visit wolfsonbasstournament.com and click on “Register Now.” Suggested donation for tickets to enter the drawing is $10 each. All proceeds will benefit Wolfson Children’s Hospital.
In the classic bullet styling, the 21 foot bass boat has a large front platform, ample storage and great rough water handling. It is painted in a beautiful orange and black finish. The Mercury Pro X 250 engine is a V8, 250 horsepower/186 kilowatt engine with dual overhead cam and 32-valves. The boat also comes with a Boatmate trailer for hauling.
Founded in 1989, the Wolfson Children’s Hospital Bass Tournament is recognized as the largest bass fishing tournament in Florida and the largest single-day bass tournament in the United States.
Since its inception, the tournament has raised more than $4 million for Wolfson Children’s Hospital of Jacksonville, a not-for-profit, pediatric hospital providing world-class care for children and families in North Florida, South Georgia and beyond. The bass tournament has helped Wolfson Children’s Hospital fund specialized treatments, lifesaving technology and capital improvements.
Although the tournament will not take place this year, the need for support still remains. To make a donation, please visit wolfsonbasstournament.com and click on “Donate Now.”
