April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month and you can help the Monique Burr Foundation for Children provide bullying and child abuse prevention education throughout the state of Florida while enjoying delicious Hawaiian fusion cuisine and entertainment. Roy’s Restaurant in Jacksonville Beach will host its 9th annual fundraising event, A Night in the Village, from 6 to 10 p.m. on April 18. Proceeds will help the foundation provide Speak Up Be Safe™ (SUBS) curriculum to students in Florida. The Monique Burr Foundation for Children is dedicated to providing SUBS to every 1st through 5th grade student in Florida elementary public schools.
One of the hottest social events in Jax Beach, A Night in the Village features live entertainment including hula and fire dancing, music, a fashion show and exclusive shopping opportunities at select boutiques and shops in Third Street Village. Master Chef Roy Yamaguchi will tantalize taste buds with his signature Hawaiian fusion cuisine accompanied by fine wines and tropical refreshments throughout the evening. A silent auction will feature custom-designed items, vacation stays and packages from local businesses.
Tickets to the event are $75 and can be purchased online at www.moniqueburrfoundation.org/tickets or by calling Callie Criser at (904) 562-1844. Stay connected for more details about this and other Monique Burr Foundation events through Facebook and Twitter.
We hope to see you there!
