The beaches condominium market has changed considerably in recent years and sales have been increasingly strong while available inventory is shrinking to next to nothing. For the first time in years, there are significantly fewer number of residences available for sale including just 14 condominium homes at Ocean’s Edge.

Ocean’s Edge Experiencing Impressive Sales Success

The sales success continues at Ocean’s Edge in South Jacksonville Beach, one of the best-performing condominium communities in Northeast Florida. In 2012, Ocean’s Edge achieved 50 condominium sales for more than $10.3 million in sales volume. Of all the condominiums sold in 2012 in the beaches market of Atlantic Beach, Neptune Beach, Jacksonville Beach and Ponte Vedra Beach, Ocean’s Edge garnered a 57 percent market share for condominiums priced $160,000 to $275,000, according to Northeast Florida Multiple Listing Services (MLS) data.

Ocean’s Edge at Jacksonville Beach Hosts Spring Barbecue and Rubber Ducky Race

Excitement filled the air when the condominium community of Ocean’s Edge in south Jacksonville Beach hosted its annual Rubber Ducky Race and spring barbecue. More than 75 residents and their guests came out to cheer on the little yellow rubber ducks as they floated from the community’s cascading waterfall downstream and under three bridges to the finish line at the community’s spring-fed lagoon. Contestants were armed with squirt guns to help prompt their ducks along the course. Everyone was a winner and numerous prizes were awarded. Ocean’s Edge resident George Crump earned bragging rights and a gift certificate to Bonefish Grill as the grand prize winner. The festivities also featured a barbecue lunch catered by Bono’s.
