Excitement filled the air when the condominium community of Ocean’s Edge in south Jacksonville Beach hosted its annual Rubber Ducky Race and spring barbecue. More than 75 residents and their guests came out to cheer on the little yellow rubber ducks as they floated from the community’s cascading waterfall downstream and under three bridges to the finish line at the community’s spring-fed lagoon. Contestants were armed with squirt guns to help prompt their ducks along the course. Everyone was a winner and numerous prizes were awarded. Ocean’s Edge resident George Crump earned bragging rights and a gift certificate to Bonefish Grill as the grand prize winner. The festivities also featured a barbecue lunch catered by Bono’s.
