The Monique Burr Foundation for Children, Inc. announces it will host its 5th annual FISH-N-CHIPS Marina Casino event at 6 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 19, in conjunction with its 25th anniversary El Pescado Billfish Tournament, which will be Oct. 17-19, at Camachee Cove Marina in St. Augustine.

Sponsored by The Jacksonville Area Lexus Dealers, the FISH-N-CHIPS Marina Casino event will include casino-style games. Tickets are $75 each and will include cocktails, dinner provided by Taco Lu, casino-style games, chips and complimentary valet provided by Farrell Brothers. At the end of the evening, chips will be exchanged for raffle tickets that can be entered for prize drawings.

The FISH-N-CHIPS Marina Casino event will be held on Saturday, Oct. 19 in conjunction with the 25th annual El Pescado Billfish Tournament’s awards ceremony. The El Pescado Billfish Tournament is part of the world’s largest offshore sanctioning organization, the World Billfish Series (WBS), which is comprised of six regional divisions, and is an Offshore World Championship sanctioned event. The tournament, known as North Florida’s most celebrated blue water event, is one of the most successful and well-established billfish tournaments in the United States, and is expected to attract anglers from the First Coast, Daytona, South Florida, Georgia and the Carolinas.  All proceeds from the event will help fund programs provided by the Monique Burr Foundation, such as Speak Up Be Safe, a national bullying and child abuse prevention education program that addresses safety from all forms of child abuse, bullying and internet dangers, as well as including tools for parents and school personnel.

The 25th annual El Pescado Billfish Tournament will kick off with a Captain’s Dinner on Thursday, Oct. 17, at 6:00 p.m. provided by Woody’s Bar-B-Q at Camachee Cove Marina.  Boats will depart Camachee Cove Marina in St. Augustine at 5:30 a.m. Friday, Oct. 18, and Saturday, Oct. 19. The tournament will conclude with an awards ceremony on Saturday evening with more than $100,000 in cash prizes will be awarded.
