The social scene at THE PLAYERS Championship is officially underway! Last night kicked off the social festivities with a Cinco de Mayo party hosted by ThNDC at The Patio, an all-new outdoor venue on the Stadium Course, and a Jacksonville Jaguars event for coaches, sponsors and suite holders at the air-conditioned JELD-WEN Stadium Village.
The Cinco de Mayo party at The Patio welcomed more than 200 guests, who each made a $20 donation to The National MS Society, North Florida Chapter. Attendees enjoyed beverages, tasty appetizers, happy hour specials, music and drawings for great prizes! The event took place at The Patio, a 1,600 square foot open-air venue with a wood deck, umbrella tables, video board, natural shading and ambient lighting. Located to the right of the 10th tee at the TPC Sawgrass Stadium Course, The Patio promises to be one of the most popular fan gathering spots on the golf course for this year’s tournament. We were there and can attest, it’s a a true, relaxed sports bar atmosphere!
The Jacksonville Jaguars event at JELD-WEN Stadium Village welcomed Jags coaches, Jags owner Wayne Weaver, and Coach Jack Del Rio among others to a welcome party where guests had the chance to shoot a hole-in-one at the PwC First Tee Challenge – a replica of the famous 17th island green.
There are several more social events leading up to the tournament, including the Tim Tebow Celebrity Golf Foundation dinner and The Donna Foundation party, both of which are taking place tonight. Stay tuned to WhatsUpJacksonville.com this week and next to see all the exciting events at this year’s tournament, which officially kicks off Monday, May 9, and runs through Sunday, May 15. See you at THE PLAYERS!
