THE PLAYERS Championship announces a new partnership with Daily’s to promote its Family Plan for THE PLAYERS 2012. Starting March 19, fans can purchase THE PLAYERS Family Plan at 26 Northeast Florida Daily’s convenience stores for $89, a savings of $40. The Family Plan includes two adult grounds tickets, unlimited youth tickets and a $20 concessions credit. THE PLAYERS returns to THE PLAYERS Stadium Course at TPC Sawgrass, May 7-13.
“THE PLAYERS has always been known as a social event that draws fans and business professionals alike, but it is also an affordable and exciting event for the entire family to enjoy,” said Matt Rapp, executive director of THE PLAYERS. “This year, we want families to take advantage of a great offer to spend the entire day at THE PLAYERS for only $89, much less than an average day at a theme park or on a weekend vacation. We have partnered with Daily’s to make the Family Plan accessible to our fans and encourage the community to make plans now to enjoy a day of golf and fun activities.”
Tony Boselli, former NFL Jacksonville Jaguars player and founder of The Boselli Foundation, helped to promote THE PLAYERS Family Plan by recording an audio message that plays at Daily’s gas pumps. Creative signs and advertisements will also be posted at the pumps, throughout the stores and online at www.dailysstores.com and www.pgatour.com/theplayers to promote the package.
“The Family Plan further enhances our youth-friendly policy that allows kids 18 and younger free admission to the tournament every day of the week with an accompanied adult,” said Curtis Hazel, 2012 tournament chairman. “For instance, a coach can bring his entire Little League team to the tournament for free. We have always encouraged youth attendance at the tournament, and the Family Plan offer at Daily’s is a great way to get the word out in the community.”
In addition to the Family Plan, THE PLAYERS will also debut a new Kids Zone at the 2012 event. Located at the end of the Nicklaus Gate walkway, the Kids Zone will include a variety of interactive kids’ activities, including a putt-putt course, face painting, temporary tattoos and more.
