Time change 2023 is time to fall back

November 3rd, 2023 · Leave a Comment

On Sunday, Nov. 5 at 2 a.m. local time, the clocks for millions of Americans will go back an hour and we will gain an extra hour, marking the end of daylight saving time for 2023.

Here’s what the semi-annual leap means for you:

  • More/Less Daylight: Depending on the time of year, you’ll enjoy a brighter start to your day.
  • Adjust Your Clocks: Remember to set any manual clocks [back by one hour] before you head to bed on Nov. 4.
  • Check Your Devices: Most smartphones, computers, and other connected devices should update automatically, but it’s always a good idea to double-check.
  • Realign Your Schedule: Consider any timed appointments or commitments you might have on Sunday and the following week. An hour shift can sometimes throw a small wrench in plans.

In the spring, clocks are moved forward an hour for Daylight Saving Time to begin. Clocks spring forward on Sunday, Mar. 10, and fall back Nov. 3 in 2024.
